Abstract

The lecture presents the latest classifications of functional gastrointestinal disorders in infants and young children, set out in the Rome IV revision criteria (2016) and in the Russian Clinical Guidelines (2020), a general definition of diarrhea and functional infant diarrhea is given.The main etiopathogenetic aspects of the development of functional diarrhea in infants, modern methods of diagnosis and treatment are considered.
