Abstract

Introduction.Taking into account the importance of the problem of obesity in children, the pronounced tendency to an increase in the disease and its complications, which become independent diseases already in childhood, there is a need to develop primary prevention of constitutionally exogenous obesity. The practical realization of this task is possible by creating a mathematical model of the risk of developing constitutionally exogenous obesity. The use of the prognostic table will make it possible to identify children at riskfor obesity in a timely manner and carry out preventive measures.The aim of the studyis to establish risk factors and their prognostic significance for the development of constitutionally exogenous obesity in children.Materials and methods.In the course of a retrospective study, the medical documentation (registration forms 112/y and 003/y) of 372 children (186 with constitutionally exogenous obesity and 186 in the control group) was studied.Results.A retrospective analysis of medical materials allowed us to identify 41 risk factors for the development of constitutionally exogenous obesity. The risk factors include the child’s complaints of increased appetite, outstripping the pace of physical development from birth, as well as hereditary, anamnestic and social risk factors.Conclusion.The study made it possible to identify risk factors for obesity in children and calculate their prognostic value.
