Abstract

The second part of the lecture provides information on the diagnosis of Hirschsprung's disease in children. Along with traditional methods of examination for this pathology, new, most modern diagnostic methods were highlighted in the lecture. This is especially true for functional methods. The options of ultrasound examination of the colon in the above pathology are considered in detail. Modern views on the morphological picture of Hirschsprung's disease are presented. A complete picture is given of the diagnosis of the super-short form of Hirschsprung's disease in children, the results of objective studies, and their differences from other forms of this disease. Special attention in the lecture is paid to such radiometric indicators as the width of the retroectal space and the rectal index. These indicators are often the exact opposite, depending on the form of Hirschsprung's disease. The application of such a relatively rare research method as videodefecoscopy is described in detail. The results of its use in patients with various forms of the disease are presented. The variants of its implementation using an X-ray machine and an ultrasound machine are shown. Various variants of the act of defecation in children with normal and various forms of Hirschsprung's disease are considered.
